The CWE Work Experience Certificate Log Book has been designed for use with pupils in mainstream schools. The CWE Work Experience Certificate Log Book Plus was designed in response to requests from staff in special schools who wanted a log book more suited to the needs of pupils with learning difficulties. There is less text and more graphics to make it more accessible. Both log books lead to the same certification. How do school/other work experience providers register to use the Connexions West of England (CWE) Work Experience Certificate Log Book and Log Book Plus? Once Connexions West of England have received your Registration Form you will be invoiced for the log books plus post and packing. Are there any resources for training staff to use the log books effectively? You can download the following resources to use with staff: Are there any resources for launching log books to students? Staff from Connexions West of England will come into your organisation and launch the Work Experience Log Books to pupils with a powerpoint presentation lasting approximately 10-15 minutes. Alternatively you can download the powerpoint presentation and use it yourself with the accompanying notes. There is also a lesson plan that you might find useful for the delivery team. How do pupils get the Work Experience Certificate? Pupils need to hand in completed Connexions West of England Work Experience Certificate Log Books/Log Book Plus and all necessary evidence to their Work Experience Coordinator. The Work Experience Coordinator must then contact Connexions West of England to arrange for moderation and certification. Can a Connexions Personal Adviser use a Work Experience Log Book with a pupil? Yes, a Connexions Personal Advisor can either get a log book through the pupil´s school, if they are using them, or by contacting the Employability Skills Group at Connexions West of England and they will be invoiced accordingly. |
